These pieces are handforged over several days at temperatures above 1000°c. From several kilograms of steel remains a vague knifeshape less then a 4th of the original weight. These are then refined on a beltsander and with sandpaper to get a finish that cannot be matched with a machine.

Handle crafting

Having already taken several days the knife is still far from the finished product. The handle is made by hand from rough blocks of exotic wood or other unique materials. Once all of this is accomplished the knife gets a treatment with acids to reveal the heart of the blade or better known as the damascus pattern

As the final but perhaps the most import step the knife gets an edge set by hand on authentic japanese whetstones and when razor sharp it is ready to serve a passionate owner for the rest of his or her life.
As one can see the price is the result of the passion hours and craftmanship needed to create these one of a kind knives.
As i stand by the Quality of my knives each one comes with a lifelong warranty and when necessary a bit of tlc so it can keep cutting away in the kitchen.
